The largest Supermärkte or Großsupermärkte can be found
in the outskirts of German towns.
Open markets: Munich has its famous daily Viktualien Markt for food
and flowers; other markets in other parts of the city are held either

in every neighborhood which sell a particular category of food. Their
hours are usually 8.00 am to 18.00/20:00 from Mon to Fri. Sat. Shops
are ususlly open until 14:00/16:00 depending on the location of the
shops.

Integration
Living in Germany without speaking the language you can find your way
around in a stumbling kind of way but you are missing the essential
beauty of the experience. There are many German language schools available.
The trick is finding out what is best for you. Besides the Goethe Institut
and Berlitz International schools which come with a reputation there
are also good lesser-known schools
If you can speak some German you can make friends with Germans in your
own neighbourhood.
- CLUBS AND
ORGANIZATIONS FOR EXPATRIATES

a variety of opportunities for expatriates to meet with their fellow
countrymen.
